Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information B2 Intros collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. B2 Intros is operated by Syed Naufil Arshad, a sole proprietor in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. I am the person responsible for the information described here.

What I collect

What you send me. The contact form asks for your first and last name, company, email address and a message. If we correspond or work together, I keep that correspondence and the business details you give me.

Business contact information. My work is finding companies with a specific need and the companies that can meet it. To do that I note business contact details, such as a person’s name, role, company and work email or phone number, from public records, company websites and business contact directories.

Billing details. When I invoice a client I keep the billing name, address and email on the invoice, and a record of the payment. Card numbers go to the payment processor and never to me.

This website. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. The company that hosts it keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.

How I use it

I use this information to reply to you, to judge whether an introduction would be a fit, to contact companies about an introduction that looks relevant to them, to make introductions, and to invoice and keep the records the law requires.

I do not sell contact lists, and I do not use personal information for advertising.

Who else sees it

The other party to an introduction, and only after you have agreed to be introduced.

Service providers that run parts of the business for me: the form service that delivers contact-form messages (FormSubmit), the website host (Vercel), my email provider, and the payment processor (Stripe). They handle the information only to provide that service.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country.

I may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long I keep it

I keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, and invoices for as long as tax and business-record laws require. When it is no longer needed, I delete it. I take reasonable steps to protect it in the meantime, including limiting who can access it.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Write to me through the contact page and I will respond within 30 days.

If I contacted you first and you would rather not hear from me again, say so and I will stop.

If you are not satisfied with how I handle a request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date.
